But you refuse to act on that previous bug, demanding that I do
something but not telling me what it is you want me to do! Can you
change the title of the other bug to "Backlight not turned on by resume".
I do not want to be a pest but I have been having this problem for over
2 years and I cannot get any resolution.

Backlight not turned on by resume

Bug description:
When the laptop resumes either from a manual suspend or from a suspend
as a result of closing the lid the operating system resumes but the
backlight on the display is not turned on, so nothing is visible. The
system is completely operational from an external point of view. For
example it is accessible by ssh, ftp, and http. The keyboard works so
the system can be restarted by Alt-PrtScrn-RSEIUB, but this loses all
outstanding activities. How do I attach multiple additional documents
that are recommended by the wiki for this class of problems.
