[Bug 1403473] Re: Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)
Christopher,
1) I removed that tag beacuse you inserted a more detailed one, namely kernel-bug-exists-upstream-3.18.1, so my tag looked to me redundant (maybe I shouldn't have removed it: I am unfamiliar with launchpad)
2) As you asked me, I tested a live cd with ubuntu 12.04.0 (amd64) and
even there I can not use the dongle: you can insert the more appropriate
tag.
3) I don't know if it can be of any use, but I will say it anyway: I
have another bluetooth usb dongle. With the other device I can connect
without problem to the telephone. Both with 12.04.4 and with my usual
14.04. If it can be of any help, I can insert the output of lsusb -v for
both devices.
