Title:
Switching from integrate GPU to discrete GPU will cause amdcccle
disappear
Status in HWE Next Project:
New
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
CID: 201305-13637 Dell Inspiron 5737
I can switch from the discrete GPU to the integrated one by using the
amdcccle without any problem, but after switching back to the discrete
GPU, I found that this system still using the integrated GPU, and the
amdcccle is disappered from the unity dash search.
Steps:
1. Install 14.04.1 + fglrx, reboot
2. Make sure that the system is now using the discrete GPU, and switch to the integrated GPU by using the amdcccle, reboot.
3. Make sure that the system is now using the integrated GPU, and switch to the discrete GPU by using the amdcccle, reboot.
Expected result:
* Could switch between these two GPUs without any problem.
Actual reuslt:
* After step 3, amdcccle is gone, and from the unity_support_test indicates that it's still running with the integrated GPU
ubuntu@201305-13637:~$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -c -p

If you run the amdcccle from /usr/lib/fglrx/bin/amdcccle, it will tell
you that the driver is not installed or it's not functioning.
