[Bug 1403287] Re: [HP Pavilion dv8t-1200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC] Missing Mouse-Cursor After Login
I have not had this happen again recently. It seems there was a nvidia
video driver update shortly after I originally reported this, and I
think that it may have fixed the issue. I'll report back here if I
experience this further.

Title:
[HP Pavilion dv8t-1200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC] Missing Mouse-
Cursor After Login
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
In the last couple of weeks, I've experienced problems (off and on),
where after logging into the Unity desktop, I do not have a mouse-
cursor.
When this happens, with the intention of rebooting, I hit ctrl-alt-
delete. This produces a dialog that allows me to logout (but does not
provide an option to reboot my machine). If I logout, and then log
back in, the mouse-cursor still remains missing. However, if I this
ctrl-alt-t, and type sudo reboot, after rebooting the mouse cursor
beings to appear again.
I never experienced this behavior in Ubuntu 14.04 until the last two
weeks or so. So it seems some recent package upgrade (via Ubuntu
Software Updater) is the culprit.
