fixes the bug for me. I tested it by rebuilding the current vivid kernel
(3.16.0-28.38) with that patch added.

That commit is found in the linux-3.19 branch at

Bug description:
  On a system with a GeForce 6150SE integrated GPU, the system becomes
  mostly unresponsive shortly after logging in. It does not lock up
  completely, but seems to only process pointer events or keystrokes
  once every few seconds, and pings from another machine on the network
  start returning in 3-5 seconds instead of a few ms.

  This began in raring and happens on every subsequent release (and also
  under precise, if a HWE stack from raring or later is installed);
  under quantal it does not happen.
