[Bug 1407850] Re: AMD Radeon R7 M265 [1002:6604] Unable to resume from suspend with proprietary fglrx / fglrx-update driver

Also, contrast to the proprietary bug 1386561, extended /mirror mode
works with power-saving mode

Title:
AMD Radeon R7 M265 [1002:6604] Unable to resume from suspend with
  proprietary fglrx / fglrx-update driver

Status in HWE Next Project:
  New
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  CID: 201410-15952 Dell Inspiron 7548

This system cannot resume from suspend with the proprietary driver, neither fglrx (2:13.350.1-0ubuntu2) nor fglrx-update (2:13.350.1-0ubuntu2)
But it works with the opensource one.

The discrete graphic card on this system is AMD Radeon R7 M265
  [1002:6604].

  Steps:
  1. Install 14.04.1 + update + proprietary video driver and reboot
  2. Suspend
  3. Wake it up

  Expected result:
  * S3 works as expected.

  Actual result:
  * System hang after resume suspend.

This bug is simliar to bug 1308954, I will need to verify this with
  the driver from AMD later.
