And we're going into the new year with the problem is still not fixed.
The bug manifests for me on ThinkPad Edge 02213BG, Radeon graphics, freshly installed Xubuntu 14.04.

  1. Suspend the device
  2. Wake it up

  EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

  - The device to resume normally

  REAL BEHAVIOUR

  - The screen goes blank

  - In the "/etc/default/grub" file; changing "quiet splash" option to
  "nomodeset" allows the wakeup, but the computer gets so slow it is
  unusable.
