Title:
Mouse erractic behavior
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I have Ubuntu 14.04 installed and updated on a Lenovo W520.
For any Ubuntu to boot on a Lenovo W520, nox2apic has to be added to
/etc/default/grub in the boot arguments and then re-install grub.
The mouse I use is a Logitech G500 or a Logitech nano.
I tried it using Unity, MATE DE and Awesome-WM.
The mouse was even more erractic with the laptop touchpad activated, I
deactivated it. With the touchpad activated the mouse would move by itself to
the top-right corner of the screen.
Since I tried using 3 different types of cursor controller (mouse or trackpad),
I don't believe it comes from these devices ...
Basically, the mouse has those erractic and irritating behavior:
- Under MATE, when the mouse hover a minimized window, it maximized it (without
the user clicking on it). If multiple windows are minimized, they all get
maximized and the focus stays on one of the window and you don't get to choose
which window get the focus. Trying to select a windows for focus in the app bar,
it gets minimized and the focus gets back to the window it was on.
- Under MATE or Unity, whenever the mouse hover the maximize button of a window,
it would automatically click it.
- Under Mate, Unity or Awesome WM, using firefox, the mouse would automatically
scroll on the right by itself.
Also, it is impossible to zoom out or zoom in with the mouse scroll button as it
would zoom out at the max.
There might be other erratic behaviors I missed but these are trully
irratitating when using ubuntu ...
Hope it gets resolved fast.
Thanks,
