Nice enough performance on Radeon 9250 with open source drivers from xorg 
edgers PPA on ubuntu :) OpenGL is the s*it! Quite a lot of uncaught 
exeptions from any boards I've made before, but your example runs ok. I 
hope we can find ways to integrate at least some your fine work to Kicad. 
It's really nice that load on X is completely gone with HW-drawing (as it 
should).
