I also notice that too. The sample library is not match vesa's guideline. Ialso created diodes.lib (http://kicad.dev.xtony.us/kicad-newlib/libraries/) using vesa's guideline (line width) + dimension from IEC617 standard to see if the result is good. I will also wait for the full detail from vesa before start other library.
