Done that without needing to modify the footprint. The "stopper" tabs on
the leads are bent just a little bit, but that is acceptable according
to both the application note you pointed out, and the Sharp datasheet.

IMHO, there are too many possibilities to be all-inclusive here. Anyone
experienced enough to need something that advanced on such an exotic
component, is probably experienced enough to edit the footprint
on-the-fly, according to the configuration he or she deems appropriate
for the respective board.

I've made them 6.8 (6.4 nut diameter + 0.2 tolerance from the hole (M3
in 3.2mm hole) + 0.2 safety margin).

I've pushed all the latest changes there already. Feel free to grab them.
I feel that, except for the coloring problem, the packages are ready.
