kicad - component library editor - problems?

Hello,
I am experiencing some displaying problems (on today kicad built) when
I load any standard component in the component library editor, see
attachment.

I am on a 32 bit ubuntu 11 with Gnome.

Does anybody have a similar experience? Any solution?
