I’ve got another spontanous idea I would like to ask about your oppinion before implementing it.

There is the button to select a layer pair, which is a good thing. But I find that it is always a bit tedious to select a layer pair this way when routing. It’s just not as fluent as all the other steps in the workflow of layouting. So, my  proposal is an easier way to change the layer pair (if not existant already – I haven’t noticed).

I would suggest, for example, to have another indicator at the layer managment toolbar. Maybe another blue triangle like the one that indicates the active layer? Maybe one that is just outlined? And right-clicking on where you have to left-click to select the active layer selects the “alternative” layer.
