Re: Problem with fill having self-crossing polygons

I appreciate everyone's interest in getting this fixed. Unfortunately, I don't have on hand a board design that I can send, the particular design that I'm having this issue with is for a customer and I don't have the liberty to share it.

It looks like Wayne Stambaugh has experienced a similar if not identical problem, although I don't think I'm having any DXF export problems. He seems ready to send an offending board for debug purposes. Wayne, do you think you could send something to Lorenzo and JP Charras?

Lorenzo, I'm not exactly sure what the 'butterfly' is that you mention I should produce a summary test with. Can you explain?

Thanks everyone!
Kelton

I'm experiencing this strange issue where the gerbers I generate produce
warnings when I try to import them into GC-Prevue. The warning says that
there are self-crossing polygons. It is my understanding that Clipper is
supposed to convert any self crossing polygons into several simple polygons.
What can be done to ensure that it is doing its job thoroughly. Has anyone
else experienced this issue?
Never happened to me... however it's correct that gerbers can't have
self intersecting polygons... have you tried at least the 'butterfly'
for a summary test?

Otherwise the incriminated board could be useful to pinpoint the issue
