Additional information is found by grepping for
"Quasi-Modal Mode Explained:"
in the source.
Its genesis was the unsightly wxSemaphore noise sprinkled about.
You could also grep the bzr log for quasi modal, back up one or two versions from its
first mention, then check out that version and look for wxSemaphore.
It currently serves two distinct purposes.
