Neither could I... probably we simply forgot to walk thru the object
list and clean up.

*Except* for things in modules; since modules lives outside the realm of
layers present or not on the board (issue already discussed at nauseam),
they should keep all their stuff (there would be irregularities
otherwise: on insertion they keep everything, but changing the layer set
they lose stuff?)
