Message #14447
eeschema background colors
I've seen that backgrounds colors in eeschema have been decoupled (I
can't see how that could be useful, but whatever). This causes two
issues (neither of them hardly troublesome, however :P)
- The module editor background can be changed from the module editor
menu. It pops up the usual dialog however the only thing that is local
to the editor is the background color (the other colors are shared
with the main window *except* the grid color, it seems); that's very
confusing for the user (also: usually a color scheme for a black
background is not suitable for a white one; and vice-versa);
- The module browser background can only be changed from the config file
since there is no menu bar. This could be an usability issue (as
abobe, light-gray on white is a bit unreadable but good on black:D).
Wasn't simpler to keep a single background for all of the eeschema
modules? The alternative would be to add configuration entries for all
the colors in all the three modules (but does it worth the effort?)
Also (mildly unrelated) the background for the component chooser is
always white (but was done that way since the start). Probably just an
overlook in the painting code.
Suggestions on how to solve?
