Color in pcbnew however takes a lot of time to set up :P:P in the past
I've seriously considered to add 'layer visibility setups', like in
zuken; they are useful when switching step in the workflow
(placement/power routing/routing/cleanup/checking).

Even in the .config you know exactly where it is; and it's not in the
way in the home directory. However that's a minor point really
(microchip does it worse, it fills the home with junk log files and
non-dot config files; the big price however goes to draftsight which
puts the internet configuration settings in *wherever the cwd is when
starting it*)
