Re: emacs switches to Git

This discussion leads nowhere, you already started this discussion in
February, the situation has not changed IMO.

The thing is; that there do exist a git mirror, which you can use
locally for your work, and then generate a patch and submit it on the
mailing list when you want to contribute. As someone mentioned earlier
in this thread. If you want to see "the move" earlier, you are better
off helping with making the kicad release happen. Fixing bugs on the
tracker is a good place to look for stuff to do. Alternatively you
could make launchpad integrate git support. I don't think the
alternative is easy to do.
