I would prefer that is rewritten in Python.  Actually, I would prefer
that they use Python or C++ and create a new plugin to import the Altium
files directly into KiCad rather than just convert between file formats
but at least that would be a start.  I don't know that Perl code has any
place in the KiCad source.
