One other reason is the fact displaying a lot of messages in the html
message box of the netlist dialog can be *very time consuming* for large
boards (with the video demo, loading all footprint is a matter of
seconds, building all these messages is a matter of minutes).

Can you try to disable the display of all messages (no action, info,
warnings, errors) (check boxes on the bottom of the dialog) in this
dialog and see if you still have this issue.

I'll have a look at this dialog.
