Problem using Eagle Footprints (Pin numbering with P$)

Hello,
   Today I tried using foot prints from Eagle. However pads are numbered P$1 .. P$50
When I generated a net list then there are no connections, since the symbol (a KiCad symbol) does not match.
Perhaps there KiCad should strip out the P$ from the eagle libraries before use?
