I have a great tool for that. Use zotero, it sticks in firefox, does
citations *and* stores the PDFs. Not the fastest thing (written in js)
but works.
Other than that I'd have some option in kicad to pass the
datasheet/URL/component to some external program and then code that
thing *outside* kicad, be it python/perl/cmd script/whatever you want.
