Hi Orson,
can you explain how it should work in default canvas?
OK, I can get some arc to show up, but this is at least very different
from how to do it in eeschema (and I thought it should be the same in
eeschema and default canvas?):
In eeschema I can create a half-circle with 3 clicks.
I did not find out how to do that in pcbnew - apart from creating some
(random) arc with the mouse and then tweaking it via the edit menu the
way it should be.
If that is how it should be, fine for me… :)

Bernhard

Hi Bernhard,
This is how it works in the legacy canvas, nothing wrong with OSX. We
have simply done it in a different way in the GAL canvas.

Hi,
nice discussion, but could anybody please just try if drawing arcs
on Windows/Linux is working as expected (if yes, how?)?
Thanks,
Bernhard

Hi,
I already mentioned it in the OS X graphics performance thread…
Is drawing arcs working as expected on Windows/Linux for pcbnew and
footprint editor?
For OS X it doesn’t seem right for me…
In eeschema I draw by clicking start->end->3rd point (if I remember
correctly), in OpenGL canvas it is center->start->end.
In default canvas it seems that I can click only 2 times (center
and some other point) and I only get 90° arcs.
Similar for footprint editor, but here I additionally get drawing
artefacts in form of two concentric arc fragments I don’t get in
pcbnew.

Bernhard
