I also had this problem in my distro.

Since current kicad source was building with an older version I suggest that you can reduce to a lower version number.
Hopefully when new (eg: 3d-viewer) code will be added, we can update the requirement for a more updated GLM version.

The issue I had in my branch with the old GLM versions I was able to solve it, but the more recent GLM versions have lots of fixes and improvements that it may be required in near future..
