Re: GCC and C++14
I suggest using the optoin cmake have for choosing the standard, see:
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/v3.1/prop_tgt/CXX_STANDARD.html
And the developer can also set as a cmake option, for example:
-DCMAKE_CXX_STANDARD=11
