Re: Request/Question

Please search the mailing list. This has been discussed several times
and it is currently under consideration.

As project leader I will tell that I find it highly dubious that there
will be a huge influx of new developers if/when we move to GitHub. This
same argument was made when we moved from SourceForge to Launchpad and
that was not the case. I believe that if you truly wanted to contribute
to KiCad, you would take a few minutes of time to learn bzr and
launchpad. It really is not that much of an effort so I have to
question anyone's commitment to kicad who can't make this small effort.

Cheers,

Wayne

The reason I ask is that I believe that Github is a lot more user friendly, especially for newcomers, and I think that the project would benefit from an easier start to getting involved. Is there a plan for moving over to Github soon? What’s limiting that transition, and is there any way that I could help with such a move?
