Hi Wayne,

It builds and it is working for me. I also compared the two branchs (diff) and looks ok.
I will now start using the main branch and keep testing it.

Thanks for the merge Wayne!
It will make some users very happy,

It was a long journey to get into this point, it was started early 2015.

Thanks to all people that helped and gave feedback here in the mailing list and on IRC kicad channel.
Special thanks to:
Cirilo for the exhaustive discussions and for the development of the 3D plugins, cache and 3D file parsers.
Maurice for lots of testing, feedback and for insist so much for adding some features.
Jean-Pierre for KiCad and for clarifications on lots of details of the board structures and element construction.

I hope everybody can now contribute to the 3D-Viewer, it should be easier to add new features, let me know if you need any clarifications.

Enjoy!
Mario Luzeiro

p.s: If you get nice renders using raytracing I will be happy to see it. Feel free to send it to my email.

Mario,

I committed your merge request in the product branch version r6985.
Thank you for your contribution to KiCad. This was a very large change
set (much larger than I'm typically comfortable merging) so please let
me know if I missed anything.

Wayne
