Hi Wayne.
Just do run the following:
git remote remove nikis-github-repo
git remote add --fetch --tags nikis-github-repo https://github.com/nikgul/kicad-source-mirror.git
git checkout -b stable-4 nikis-github-repo/4.0.x
And now you have a local branch named stable-4 that tracks my remote
4.0.x branch.
