addressing me...

That's not the point. Silly quirks like these give a bad first
impression. They make people look at our software and think it's
unprofessional and poorly put together, and then they go use other
software.

Why not keep the software originally exactly as JP wrote it in the
beginning?

I don't think "it's hard for us" should ever be a reason not to improve
the software, only a reason for where it goes in the set of priorities.
