First: I didn’t write that piece of code and I only had a very quick look into the table model code.
Just from GUI it looks similar (swap “pin" with “device"), so this could make sense.

However, I don’t know if it is worth the effort.
At the end, tailoring some small generic piece of code for the common model to both different tables/data might be more effort.
Maybe it would be a nice software design exercise… :)
