Hm, that will get messy. Also, doing that will prevent automatically
migrating AFAICS, since the remap will permanently link the symbols to
the old libraries.

In that case, I guess rescuing symbols from the cache into a rescue lib
might work just as well as keeping v4 symbols installed.

Right, so the reality is that manual work is needed on most symbols
anyway, so no need to make automatic migration work at all, I guess that
makes some sense.

This probably something that needs good documentation and announcements,
to prevent user surprise and disappointment.
