Re: What is the difference between library file format version 2.4 and 2.3

Thanks for the quick answer.
I now know what to look for if we need to revert the lib version for some of the official libs.

Since version 2.4 libraries support long pin and pad names (longer than

not use these features.

".lib" files created or edited with a recent nightly build set the

What is the difference to the lib version used in kicad stable (version
2.3).

I can open 2.4 version libs using kicad stable. But kicad stable does
not display anything that is stored in the dcm file.

(If i then edit such a lib file with stable, it results in the loss of
the complete dcm file content.)

Is it possible to revert the file version in some manner if a file has
been updated to version 2.4 such that the lib can be used again in kicad
stable?
