Re: Stable 5 development.

 

I agree that it doesn’t make sense to branch if we’re not going to open main for 6.0.

I think the main argument for opening main is that developers tend to write code.  The best way to keep them from messing up the stable is to give them someplace else to put it. ;)

But with git it probably doesn’t make that much difference.  People can commit to their own repos.
