Could you use the characters CLOCKWISE OPEN CIRCLE ARROW (U+21BB) and its counterpart (U+21BA)

They are supported by a very large number of fonts, including Segoe UI Symbol, DejaVu Sans, Arial
Unicode and more.

No.

Because only ASCII7 chars are allowed in strings to translate, because, AFAIK, I18N tools only
accept ASCII7 chars, not unicode char set.
