My experience tells me, that in complex designs, some differential routers reach their limits quite often and get stuck. So, manual single-track routing is mandatory, followed by some cleaning up.

I.e. Mentor PADS can switch from diff pair routing to single track routing while routing. But you need to re-start routing if you want to continue diff pair routing... :-/
