Re: add KiCad on GSoC this year?

This is the fundamental problem. I'm willing to entertain the idea if someone can commit the time to mentor students. I can tell you that I don't have the time to do this.

Cheers,

Wayne

I think the problem is someone has to actually step up and mentor a student. You aren't allowed to just give them a topic and disappear ;)

    Hi,

some reminder for next month: Starting with January 15th, mentoring
organizations can start submitting applications for the GSoC:

It would be a nice idea to apply this year, and get some students to
help with the development of KiCad 6.

I would suggest to advertise topics which are mostly standalone and
sound interesting/challenging, and where people currently not working
on, like: diff/merge tools, improved digital/analog simulation, signal
    integrity, auto-router, improved push-shove,...

    Regards,
    Thomas
