Re: Company approved usage of their 3d models inside KiCad

 

Great work Thomas!

I have reached out to JST (a few months ago now) but have received no
response as yet. I think we should definitely try to chase them up again,
though.

There has also been some effort made towards generating various connector
models via parametric scripts (see
https://github.com/easyw/kicad-3d-models-in-freecad/tree/master/cadquery/FCAD_script_generator
)

However being able to download and distribute official models will save a
LOT of time and effort.
