I decided to take a look at this and couldn't reproduce your problem.
Here are the steps I took:

    bzr branch lp:lazr.enum lazr.enum/trunk
    cd lazr.enum/trunk
    clean-python-2.6.5 bootstrap.py
    bin/buildout
    bin/test -c

All tests passed.

I then added a failing test:
