Today the Launchpad Yellow Squad has enabled our work to support better bug notifications for the ~malone-alpha team, which now includes ~launchpad-dev.  A full summary of the work can be read at the LEP[1] but in short we are providing more advanced filtering for bug subscription both "direct" and "structural".  A direct bug subscription is when a person or team subscribes to an individual bug.  A structural subscription is made to product, distribution, or milestone, etc.

With the new work you can choose between various levels of activity for which you'll be notified.  With structural subscriptions you can also specify filters based on tags, bug states, and importances.  Also subscriptions to an individual bug may now be muted, regardless of why you are subscribed to that bug.
