You asked me a question on IRC, but weren't around for my reply.
Switching to the equivalent asynchronous forum.

I've done the QA (about 21hrs ago), and marked the bug as "qa-bad" for
reasons outlined on the bug report itself:

I have also added a script that makes it dead simple for anyone else
to QA the patch.

If I've done this incorrectly, well, I did the best I could and raised
my difficulties in learning how to do it properly on this mailing
list.

If QA delays block the whole team, I fail to understand why another
person cannot step in and QA a patch on someone else's behalf.
