[Bug 387782] Re: OpenPGP key instructions are scary
It's true that you can do it through Seahorse but it's quicker to do it
through the command-line.
My aim for the help is to get someone up and running quickly by telling
them what steps to take. If they learn something about how it's done,
that's a bonus but not my main goal. So, the fact that they're copying
and pasting from the help isn't a problem to me.
I wrote a version of the help using Seahorse only and it greatly
increased the number of steps and, to my mind, made it look more
complicated than necessary.
I also base this on the feedback we received on our guide to adding a
PPA's key to Ubuntu. Overwhelmingly, the commenters prefered a shorter
command-line way of doing it to the longer but perhaps shinier GUI way.
