So, if you need python code to test this, will the existing tests pass
with this change?

I suspect that we need schema specific tests rather than tests from
python, for functions whose implementation specifics affect python
tests.

One way would be to permit *test only* changes with schema landings.

I'll let stub answer the process questions :)
