Yes the is* filters are odd. isJunk, isPrivate already exist and followed that convention. There are also in* conventions like inDistroseries and inProduct. your proposed name does not make sense given that only branch are returned by the BranchCollection. I think the intent was to create a kind of phrase:
   AllBranches.inProduct(launchpad).isPrivate().scanned()
