I don't believe it's worth any additional effort to do this. It's questionable whether we should continue producing source ISOs at all - they nominally exist to let mirrors/distributors satisfy the GPL requirement that the source accompanies the binary, but given that they're distributed from cdimage.u.c, which is NOT the site for which we encourage mirroring, it's unclear that they actually address this anyway.
And if anyone is using them, it's very unlikely they're using jigdo. (This would be difficult to prove either way.)
So I intend to leave the old templates in place, and we've discontinued their generation going forward.
