It would be helpful at this point to have plural-forms information about
the language.  This is very specific information, just for one single
purpose: if you need to translate a sentence like "there are X files,"
how many forms can the translation take depending on what number X
represents?  And which of those forms should be used for which values of
X?

We don't need to know the actual grammar, just these two pieces of
information.  For example, in English the sentence can take two forms:
"there is X file" (if X is one), and "there are X files" (for all other
X).  This information is difficult to change later, so it takes careful
thought.  There may be standards already out there, and if so it would
be best to stick to  those.
