Freddy: According to Gmail help center Gmail doesn't recognize most special characters used in searches and filters. Unrecognized characters include non-alphanumeric characters like square brackets, parentheses, currency symbols, the ampersand, the pound sign, asterisks, etc.... so we cant use [ ] or *...
