I just wanted to make a suggestion as a launchpad user. When i first used launchpad the bugstatuses weren´t clear to me also. I got used to "closed", "pending" "new" and like that. Now my proposal would be to have a link (like in bugs.gnome.org) next to statusbuton where an explation to each status shown.
