Hi Siegfried,
 I tried running your command, I get an error message :-

 shirish@Mugglewille:~$ apt-cache showsrc dictd |grep Package
E: Could not open file
/var/lib/apt/lists/archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_hardy_main_source_Sources
- open (2 No such file or directory)
