In general we avoid interfering with user comments unless we are
explicitly asked to remove private data that was disclosed; this is a
community issue and as such should be managed within the community.

Though shouldn't Launchpad give the community admins the tools to be able to manage the issue (i.e. allow them to delete inappropriate comments)?
